Bobby's saved my life... well at least my stomach.
It was my first time in Vero Beach. We arrived late on a Wednesday night and before we checked in to our hotel we needed some beer, so we b-lined to a local brewery, Walking Tree. Two flights in, we started to get hungry. It was about 9:30 at night.
Now, I live in Sunrise Florida and late night food is never a problem. Especially at 9:30pm any night. There is still a kitchen open somewhere, actually a few kitchens. Can't say the same about Vero beach. We called around to a few spots and everyone echoed the same message. The kitchen was closed or closing.
Enter Bobby's, our savior. Bobby's was not only open late on Wednesday night, but the bar was also packed. They don't have much of a beer selection if you like craft beer, but they do have a full bar.
So we ordered the french dip and fried calamari. I can honestly say what came to us was no where near what we were expecting. The calamari was soft and succulent. It was not over fried, but perfectly prepared. Who ever the chef is, has our compliments. I have had calamari in some real high end restaurants and outside of Italy, nothing compared to Bobby's calamari.
The french dip was equally good and super fresh. The prime rib they used was rare and delicious. The bun was nice and crispy and the aus jus was fresh and not overly salty. I swear they must make it fresh.
Our bartender was Richie. He gave us an easy way to remember his name, Ricky Bobby. He had us cracking up. And he introduced me to a new rye which I need to add to my bar at home.
Bobby's is the best late night fare you will find in Vero beach. But beyond that it has to be one of the best restaurants in the area. I will have to revisit this experience the next time I return. -

My husband and I attended a wedding earlier and were staying at the Kipton and wanted a late night bite/drink so we walked right on over to Bobby's and all I can say is if you want to have a great time at an AMAZING establishment come here!!!
If I could rate this 10 stars I would. Ritchie our bartender was fabulous and our time spent there was even better! If you want to have friendly perfect customer service come to Bobby's you will not regret it!! -

Ambiance: Dive Bar meets Southern Diner, located on beach.
Service: Great.
Food: Bar food meets Diner food. Let me start off by saying that I did NOT expect fine dining walking into this place at 11pm to pick up my order. However, it was the only place opened after checking into the Kimpton (25 steps away) at 10pm. Read the reviews and most raved about the Prime Rib Au Jus sandwich so that was my order, along with sweet potato fries and a bowl of chili.
- Fries were great.
- Prime rib meat was awfully difficult to eat. Some pieces of meat looked and tasted pretty raw, but it could have been just the lighting on my end.
- Chili was very good that I would definitely go back to order it again.
Overall, OK. Nothing spectacular, but if you are looking for some diner food open late, this is your place. -

We've been to Bobby's many, many times (should tell you something) and always enjoy the super fresh ingredients, consistency of the preparation and presentation, and value. A very friendly and experienced staff, comfortable, clean atmosphere and Bobby is never far away. Although not his personality to "work the room," he never misses a wave or nod, nor a dip below his standards in service. If you are staying in Vero, put Bobby's on your agenda. The Reuben, the tuna salad platter (the tomatoes are incredible-and secretly sourced) are my go-to's. Even the foot-long hotdog with onions is particularly delicious. Now you know. Go!

I've grown to love Bobby's. It's a happy, lovely, bustling place. The very best burgers in Vero! Also the best grouper in town. On Mondays they serve (off menu) home-made goulash -- a delicious blend of macaroni, ground beef sausage and bolognese-like sauce. Anything left over is served for Tuesday lunch. It's delish.
Don't stress over the hour-wait for a table: it's so much fun to sit at the bar and enjoy a cocktail or glass of wine with some friends. Making new best friends too! The guy sitting next to you might have $80Mil in his pocket, or might be a Hall-of-Famer, but all pretense is dropped at the bar and everyone just has a great time.
